The opening is very ambient and soothing. The melodies are very beautiful, the instruments go well together, and it's all played brilliantly.
At 1:49 when you bring in the drums, it really adds something to the track. But at 3:20, while the piano is really good, I'm starting to wonder where you're going to take the track next.
The strings are good too, but as you're stuck on the same sequence of chords for almost the whole track, they don't do nearly as much for me as I think they could (or should).
By 5:30 I'm afraid my patience is really being tested. The piano moments are still good though. At 6:15 the piano appears to be a little more dominant; then as the drums start to fade at 6:30, you take us into the final 2 minutes of the track.
The last section is good, highlighting the excellent combination of piano and strings. The unfortunate thing is that the ending is a lot better than the core of the piece, which just doesn't do enough to keep my attention for the whole piece.
It oozes emotion and musicianship and the quality of the sound is great. It is a lovely track, just lacking in progression.
