Red Sea by Bill Hayes

An instrumental track I put together as part of my album for February Album Writing Month. The album has a theme in that every track is inspired by a Bible verse.

As suggested by the title, this is inspired somewhat by Exodus 14 (with the sense of uneasiness, the excitement crossing the sea and then finding yourself lost in a desert). Not sure how well that came out, I know particularly the electric bit needs a lot of work (although specifically what to do with it I'm not entirely sure). It's also got a bit of a Serpent Dream feel to it (from Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells III).

The album's called "The Word" and will be finished when I get round to it. As it's a work in progress, comments are hugely appreciated since I can take them into account when shaping the final piece.
